Not sure what to make for lunch?

Have you ever noticed what happens if you don’t feed a baby on time?

They become:

cranky
whinny
fussy
unreasonable
miserable

Why would you be any different?

So make time for your meals… and especially don’t work through your lunch!

Make lunch one of your favourite times of day! It’s an opportunity to take a pause to enjoy a good meal and take a breather. Eating regular meals will stabilize your blood sugar, improve your energy, and improve your mood. Oh, and productivity will go way up!

Stuck on what to make for lunch?

Here are some ideas so you can love your lunch!

Balanced Salad
Salad (3-4 veggies such as greens + green onion + tomato + cucumber + pepper) + protein (2 hard boiled eggs or 1/2 cup chickpeas or 1/2 a shredded chicken breast) + 1 tbsp of seeds or nuts. Dressing: 2 tbsps olive oil, 2 tbsps lemon juice, 1 tbsp honey, 2 tsps balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp dijon mustard, salt and pepper to taste

Dr. Lisa’s ultimate tuna salad sourdough sandwich

I love using a small can of Clover Leaf tuna in olive oil and mix the tuna with (real) mayo, green onions, and celery. Spread on toasted sourdough bread and enjoy!

Lunch medley
Couple slices of cold cuts (nitrate free) + 1 cup of fruit (e.g. berries, grapes, orange, etc.) + 1 cup raw veggies (peppers, broccoli, tomato etc.) + 1/4 cup hummus + couple Tbsps nuts or seeds (almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds).
