The Benefits of Networking

“What can you do for another person?” Simple yet wise words that I read in the book “Work the Pond!” by Darcy Rezac. This book is actually written about networking but, whether you are a student, stay-at-home mom, business executive, or retiree, you will walk away with new skills and ideas on how to build lasting connections with people. So often we think of networking with a negative connotation, but this book illustrates just how powerful forming new relationships can be. The world’s 7 billion people are separated by only a few handshakes. The first handshake starts with you!

Positive relationships and altruism are beneficial for your health, so if you have one new goal for the week, I would encourage you to start thinking about what you can do for others….and DO IT!
